A1 followed up their recent press upgrade with the acquisition of a Xerox Versant 2100 with a booklet maker, squarefold trimmer and a Fiery FS100 Pro RIP. “The increasing demand for secure variable print production and the ever decreasing lead times in this sector necessitated a more robust digital press with greater performance, and the Xerox Versant ticked all of the boxes”, said Managing Director Jim Richardson.
“This year we are celebrating 25 years of the A1 name. Over that time we have consistently invested in all areas of the business, as we strive to improve processes and increase our product range.”
“The additional capacity that the Versant created for variable data booklet production has already been filled, so we may be adding to our digital presses again in the near future.”
It has been a busy time for the security printing company, who will also be exhibiting for the first time at SDW2016 (Security Document World 2016) this month.
