We would like to confirm that A1 Security Print is still fully operational. As we manufacture and supply products for Government, the NHS and the pharmaceutical sector remaining fully operational is key for our support of these front line services. While we now have furloughed a number of staff, our production capability remains in line with demand and staff absence levels are low. So for all of our customers it is still business as usual.
However, these are challenging times and A1 Security Print is taking comprehensive and decisive measures to fulfil our commitments to customers, as well as protect the welfare of our employees during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
To minimise the opportunity for infection we are staggering our shift patterns and separating our teams where practical. We are adhering to the 2 metre social distancing recommendation and have increased hygiene measures throughout the factory. We have also introduced home working for all employees where this is possible and practical.
We do have a detailed Business Continuity Plan in the event of further disruption and, operating as part of a group, we have the option of switching production to other manufacturing sites within the group if required. We are closely monitoring the latest government updates and reviewing our contingency plans accordingly. We are also advising staff, customers and suppliers to stay up to date with the latest information at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public
Current Status:
Production Capability: In line with demand. A small number of staff have been furloughed as demand has reduced for non-critical work.
Absence Levels: Low
Supply Chain: Unaffected
Logistics: Unaffected
Morale: High
We will continue to update our communications as and when there are any further developments.
