A1 Security Print Ltd provided a Security Printing Workshop to the senior management team of Jumhouria Bank in Tunisia during April 2022, presented by A1SP Commercial Manager and the Country Representative for Libya.

The key objective of the Workshop was to inform and educate Jumhouria Bank on the enhanced security features that have been deployed with their newly designed cheques. These enhancements, which provide significant protection against the threat of counterfeiting and forgery, include a unique Jumhouria Bank Watermark and Hologram, security designs and the VeriSecure encrypted QR Code for restricted verification.

The Workshop provided an opportunity to meet in person once again, and to discuss challenges and solutions to a wide range of technological and IT developments.

A1SP has received excellent support from the British Embassy in Libya, the Department for International Trade, and the local Chamber of Commerce. On the final day of the Workshop we were honoured to welcome HM Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall MBE, and Department for International Trade Country Director, Lydie Sheehan.

Jumhouria Bank was established as a branch of Barclays Bank in Tripoli in 1943. It was later nationalised in 1970 and changed its name to Jumhouria Bank.

Jumhouria Bank is now the largest bank in Libya, providing Retail, Corporate, Investment and Commercial Banking, and is increasingly influential in the domestic and international market.

Strategic Partnership

A1SP has been working with Jumhouria Bank for a number of years. The strategic partnership was developed over the last two years, proving that even in the recent unprecedented covid pandemic times there are still ways to continue and strengthen international business relationships.
