A1SP have recently become official kit sponsors of the West Midlands Police football team.

West Midlands Police compete in the Emergency Services Football League (ESFL), which brings together emergency services of the UK into a competitive, flexible league. The aim of the league is to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals that serve in UK emergency services, due to the significant and stressful risks associated with the job role. To alleviate the burden of stress, the league offers a valuable outlet for members wishing to play football. This includes providing fixtures that accommodate individuals who struggle to play during regular leagues, due in part to unsociable working hours their work involves.

A1SP’s Managing Director Jim Richardson, commented on the sponsorship:

We are proud to support our local police force, they work hard to keep our local community safe. So, when the West Midlands police team captain approached me, I had no hesitation in offering our support. We will be following their results with great interest.”

On 3rd December, A1SP were joined on site by Sergeant John Norgrove and PC Daniel Hitchmough to show off the new kit. Sergeant Norgrove commented:

“It was very kind of A1 to support us and the kit looks great! We will be wearing this kit with pride in our Emergency Services League and Police Cup, we are also taking this kit to an international tournament in Spain next May.”

A1SP Security will continue to support the West Midlands Police team and will be keeping a close eye on their future matches, particularly the upcoming tournament in Spain in 2022.

You can follow the progress of the West Midlands Police team via their Facebook and Twitter pages.

Giving Back

Sponsoring the West Midlands Police football team is just one way in which A1SP has continually strived to have a positive impact on our local, and indeed wider community. Whether it’s environmental initiatives, charity projects, or helping local organisations, A1SP are always keen to support and promote corporate social responsibility.

If you have a local project or initiative that A1SP could support, we’d love to hear from you. Contact our team to tell us more!
